When you have clothes designed, altered, repaired, etc you want to go to the best. Harry and his team at Ace Custom Tailors are the best. Every time I walk in he is friendly and ready to help. Him and his team do high quality work and I have never been dissatisfied. I have been taking clothes here for about 3 years now and never once did I have a bad experience. Not only are they good at tailoring and altering clothes, but that have a wide selection of suits and suiting separates available, all of the highest quality. Harry is able to build you a custom suit, jacket, pants, etc out of whatever fabric you would like. I would recommend anyone that needs mens or womens clothes tailored or custom clothes made go to Harry and his team. ~ Greg R

The stitching, alterations, and overall craftsmanship were top tier — he restitched everything perfectly and made it fit exactly how I needed it to. Harry is the man when it comes to all things tailoring. I’ve had military uniforms altered here, as well as an $200 off the rack suit given to me by a friend. Both times the alterations have been flawless and really made the garments fit me well. I recently went in for a full custom suit made in house by Harry and his team for my upcoming wedding in September. The entire experience was great and I was able to choose every detail and customize every aspect of my suit; from the type of button holes, to the angle of the pockets, to the custom silk liner inside. This place is going to be the one and only tailor I ever use! I was in a bit of a pinch to get a suit made for my wedding and could not find a single thing off the rack that looked anywhere close to presentable. I emailed Harry explaining how I needed a suit made for my wedding and within 15 minutes he had responded to me to set up a time to come get measured and I was in the store the very next day getting my customer wedding suit made. Harry was awesome to work with and was always super good about answering any questions I had. I picked up the suit yesterday and will say it was perfect. First of all, the store is wonderful, just oozes class. Lots to look at, with quality that anyone can see. I actually came in for the tailor service though. I needed a coat lining replaced. There were several plain color options and, for an up charge, fancy fabric options. There were so many fancy fun options, I could have been there all day. The man helping me told me it would take about two to three weeks, and I got my coat back in about two to three weeks. I could not happier my coat, and will be sending all my friends here in the future. I'm looking through my wardrobe to see if there's anything else I can bring in because I am so happy with the results! ~ lucy d

I went in looking to purchase my first nice suit I've ever had. Harry was very helpful and nice when showing me my options and helping me design my Made to Measure custom suit. He listened to me when I explained how I wanted the suit to fit and also answered any questions I had since I had never gone through this before. When it first arrived it was slightly big (as expected and requested) so he was able to make the modifications to make it fit, but left the extra fabric for when it will eventually need to be taken out. I was very happy with the final product of the suit and highly recommend Harry and Ace Custom Tailors. ~ Riley S

I was in Louisville for a wedding and needed a suit altered--and in a hurry.. However, the suit was old and out of style and would be expensive to alter, given what was needed. Harry, the owner, had a solid blue suit in my size and for not much more in price than what the alterations of my old suit would have cost and so I bought the suit amd he had it ready the day before the wedding. Ah, but on the day of the wedding, I felt like the seat was too tight so back to ACE to see Harry. And Harry handed me another, larger pair of the same slacks, then had them altered in three hours--at NO CHARGE! He is incredible. He is great with customers. His prices are most reasonable. His selection is all you need and his alterations make you look like a cover model. I live in Texas, but if I even need a button put on in the future, I'm driving to Louisville to see Harry because he's such a great guy. Thank you for saving my weekend, Harry! ~ Richard L

Could not recommend Harry and his team at Ace Custom Tailors more. My fiance used them for both his wedding suit as well as the suits for all his groomsmen. He really wanted to avoid the Men's Wearhouses of the world after having so many impersonal and terrible experiences with them. Not only did his suit turn out looking fantastic at a great price, but all his groomsmen loved their's so much they opted to buy their suits instead of just rent them. They even helped us overnight a tie that we needed for an extra inclusion in our wedding party. Personally, I don't think you could find a better locally owned business to support. ~ kaitlin p

I had a great experience with getting a dress altered and I will be back for my future alteration needs. I dropped my dress off on 5/22, I didn't need it in a rush, so we agreed on 6/3 for my pickup date. The dress was ready on time, and it fit perfectly. Harry took the time to ensure the fit was what I wanted. I felt very comfortable with him, as you have to be in a close encounter to get everything in the right place. The alterations for my floor length formal dress cost around $100. I felt the pricing was fair and I was thrilled with the end result. The store sells very nice men's suits as well. I'm 5' 8" with a a 44" inch chest and a 32" inch waist so buying suits off the rack is an impossibility. I hired Ace to create a bespoke suit for me. Harry, the owner, provided sound advice and presented all my options: lapel style and width, pocket options, vent options, color and fabric choices and more. The result was a perfectly fitted 3 piece suit that made me look like a million bucks. Impeccable quality and reasonable turnaround time. I was recommended to Harry from a trusted friend when I wanted a tailor for custom shirts. Harry was a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. We communicated before our appointment and he had fabrics in mind when we arrived. There are lots of options, fabrics, brands to choose from. He actually measures and takes photos of you for the best fit. Work is done in house. You won't get all the flashy bells and whistles, but you will get a true tailor and quality work. I had Harry make me a custom sport coat and tuxedo jacket for my wedding in the summer of 2019. Throughout the entire process, he was attentive to exactly what I was looking for down to the tiny little details. He was thorough and produced a product for me that I was extremely happy with and proud to see in my wedding pictures for years to come! These two jackets are the best fitting jackets in my wardrobe. Best tailor in Louisville! I have used Ace twice and was very pleased with both experiences. After consulting with 2 other tailors about alterations on a leather coat, Harry was the most knowledgeable about leather products and repaired the coat to my satisfaction at a reasonable cost. Recently, 3 pairs of trousers were taken in for alteration. Harry worked with me until I was totally satisfied with the fit. Harry and Ace created a custom three piece suit and three collared shirts for my wedding. Everything turned out perfectly! Great fit, look and construction. He also went above and beyond to ship two of the shirts to the wedding venue in time to have them for the wedding. Harry and Ace are easy to work with and reasonably priced this was my first custom suit experience and it was not intimidating and easy. Turn around time is prompt. Ace Custom Tailors did a fantastic job on the suits for our wedding. We got a full suit for the groom, matching vests and pants for the groomsmen, and custom-made bow ties. I've been coming to Ace Tailors for 8 years now ever since I moved from out of state. Prior to Ace Tailors, my mother was my seamstress, so it was difficult for me to find a quality Tailor and trust their work. I have a vintage leather jacket that was given to me. I got the pocket caught on a door handle and it created a large tear. Ace Custom Tailors did an excellent job with the repair. You cannot tell from the outside that any repairs were made at all. The interior lining has minimally noticeable stitching where it was fixed, but no one else will see that anyway. Perfect experience. Ace was able to accommodate my request a week before the wedding which was super convenient. I am a maid of honor and my burgundy dress needed a good hem. When I picked it up, it was hemmed to perfection—I couldn’t even tell that the dress was “tailored” because it looked so perfect besides the fact it was the length I needed it to be. Had a pair of pants and a shirt made for my son and a suit and shirt made for me. Everything was perfect. My son is in a wheelchair and Harry was able to make his shirt and pants fit well. My shirt and suit fit were a perfect fit as well. Harry is great to work with. Neither my son or I are an "off the rack" fit. Harry made us look great. Harry at Ace Custom Tailors runs a terrific business. He is knowledgeable and helpful during the fitting process. His inputs are nuanced and he delivers the clothes back on time. Harry custom made both my husband’s and my father’s suits (pictured below) for our wedding and did an absolutely incredible job. The suits looked amazing on both men, and are very durable where they can wear them in the future as desired. Harry was professional, communicative, and very skilled.
